Mt. Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)
Of all the notable mountains in China, Yellow Mountain (Mt. Huangshan), in the south of Anhui province, is probably the most famous. Originally known as Mt. Yishan it was renamed Mt. Huangshan in 747 AD in recognition of the legendary Huang Di, who was the reputed ancestor of the Chinese people and who made magic pills for immortality here.

Tunxi Ancient Street
Tunxi Ancient Street has a history dates back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279). The street is paved with maroon flagstones with a total length of 1,273 meters. Shops standing on both sides feature the local Anhui style of stone base, brick construction and tile roof. Once a professor from America was amazed by the street and he said he had found an Oriental Ancient Rome. Nowadays the street is also used as a natural studio for films and TV series.

Xidi and Hongcun Ancient Villages were listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 2000. These two villages are the most representative local-style residences in southern Anhui Province.

Day Activity Meals
Day 01.
Arrive Tunxi. Guide meet and transfer to hotel for check in. Tour the ancient old town of Tunxi in evening.

Day 02.
Drive to the Huangshan and take cable car to the top of the Yellow Mountain. Day tour to the Brush Pen Peak, Begin-to-Believe Peak to see its ancient twisted pine trees, Lion Peak, and Xihai Grand Canyon. In the evening, enjoy the sunset from the Cloud Dispelling Pavilion. Stay overnight at the summit.

Day 03.
Get up early in the morning to catch the magnificent sunrise. Then, descend Huangshan Mt. by foot down to the western side of the mountain. Along the way, you will see Flying Rock, climb over the Brightness Apex, the second highest peak on Huangshan, and Turtle Peak. After that, take the cable car down to the foot of Huangshan Mountain. Then, transfer to the airport for your next destination city.
